Section III has added four teams to the New York state football rankings in the second week of the poll. The biggest boost comes in Class C, which now has five Section III teams ranked.

In the biggest classification, Cicero-North Syracuse (3-0) moved up one spot to No. 7 in Class AA. Corcoran (1-2) also moved up a spot, to No. 23. Corcoran was forced to forfeit its first two games based on a ruling this past week, due to an ineligible player competing in those two contests, per syracuse.com.

There was no movement in Class A’s Section III teams this week. Whitesboro (3-0) stays at No. 11 and Indian River (3-0) holds at No. 16.

Three Section III class B teams are ranked. Skaneateles (3-0) stays at No. 3 in the state. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (3-0) ranks up a spot at No. 22, and Cazenovia (3-0) places No. 23, a rise of two spots.

Three teams remain in the Class C rankings. General Brown (3-0) sticks at No. 5, Canastota (3-0) stays at No. 8 and Mount Markham (2-1) drops three spots to No. 20. Two new teams join in this Class: No. 11 Utica Notre Dame (3-0) and No. 18 Lowville (3-0).

Beaver River (3-0) gained two spots in Class D, moving up to No. 5 in the state. The two new Section III representatives in the smallest class are No. 7 Onondaga (2-0) and No. 9 Herkimer (3-0).
