On April 19, Taylor Swift released her 11th studio album “The Tortured Poets Department,” along with its 15-song extension “The Anthology.” Listeners jumped to applaud or criticize the record.
Some argue that the collaboration between producer Jack Antonoff and Swift is becoming boring. Other critics praise the album because of its themes of heartbreak. The New York Times wrote that Swift needs an editor.
“Great poets know how to condense, or at least how to edit. The sharpest moments of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ would be even more piercing in the absence of excess, but instead the clutter lingers, while Swift holds an unlit match,” the New York Times wrote.
The Daily Orange wants to know our readers’ thoughts on the album. Is “Tortured Poets” her top album, her 11th or somewhere in between?
